We started off the morning at Salon Chevuex with Jen, her Mother Tamra and the rest of the ladies. Mimosa's, hair, make up and other pampering were had by all. I'd say that's a great way to start off any wedding day. The mood was very relaxed and I saw nothing but smiles.
We went over to the adorable Mulder Chapel on Hope College campus and captured Jen getting into her gorgeous wedding dress. Next we set up and captured the "first look" which is one of our favorite times in the whole day. True emotion and a chance to really use our photojournalism skills to capture the tears and laughter.
After that it was down to business. It was an amazing ceremony in an adorable chapel. Lot's of details and cathedral ceilings with a balcony made for some great images.
We took the party bus to Centennial Park for a quick mini session.
Next stop was the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel in downtown Grand Rapids. Everything about this historic hotel is beautiful. We shared the gorgeous lobby with other wedding photographers and wedding parties and finally made our way into the Imperial Ballroom, it truly took our breath away.
Wait for it...wait for it, BOOM!!! Matt killed it on the dance floor!
